Delex soon began draining the life energy of the citizens in Newtech City, and then turning them into batteries.  The Blue and Yellow Rangers were the first to respond and fight him.  Omega, Red, Green and Pink Rangers soon joined in the fight, but Delex still managed to escape.

The alien soon returned to drain more life energy, but now had an Energy Accelerator that Broodwing provided him with.  Blue and Yellow Rangers were again the first to respond, but this time in S.W.A.T. Mode.  Omega and Green & Pink S.W.A.T. Mode Rangers responded, but even the five of them were no match for Delex.  

When the Red Ranger in S.W.A.T. Mode joined in, he was able to destroy the Energy Accelerator, thus giving the Rangers the upper hand.  Working together, all six Rangers managed to beat Delex.

However, using some of the energy he had drained from people, Delex grew to giant size.  The B Squad Rangers fought him with the S.W.A.T. Megazord.  They were able to defeat Delex for good, and contain him, thanks to the S.W.A.T. Megazord Cannon Mode.  

After Delex was contained, all the people he had turned into batteries were returned to normal.
