Slate first attack New Tech city while the five B Squad Rangers were enjoying time off at the park.  Though the Ranger's did not know who Slate was, since he first took the form of Rhinix.  The Rangers Morphed and went after 'Rhinix', however they next came across 'Hydrax' and finally 'Bugglesworth'.  Slate then escaped.  The Rangers were confused and since the real criminals were still in their containment cards, they had to find out what they were up against.  Thus Commander Cruger sent Sky to Gamma Orion to interrogate Mirloc for information.  

Mirloc agreed to provide Sky with information, in exchange for a small something to add to his personal collection.  Sky agreed and Mirloc told him about Slate.

Now knowing that they were up against a copycat, the Rangers again took on Slate as he was attacking the city as Sinuku.  When the Rangers showed up, Slate revealed all six of his monster forms: Rhinix, Hydrax, Bugglesworth, Sinuku, Tomars, and Devastation.

The Rangers fought Slate as Devastation and defeated him.  But before they could capture him, he escaped to a copied Robot of Destruction.  The Rangers used the Delta Squad Megazord to destroy the copied robot.

Again, before the Rangers could contain Slate, Morgana showed up with a gift for Slate from Gruumm.  This gift made five more copies of slate, thus a total of six.  Each Slate was in one of the six monster forms he was capable of taking on.  

The B Squad Rangers tried battling all six Slates and Morgana, but even with the help of the Shadow Ranger, they were outmatched.  It was then that the Red Ranger used his Battlized Armor to take on all the villains.  With the Armor’s Sonic Mode, he managed to defeat all six Slates with the Full Powered Sonic Slash Attack.  With the Attack, Slate was then placed into a Containment Card.
