Dru first crash-landed in the center of New Tech City one night.  When the S.P.D. B Squad Power Ranger went to investigate, they discovered Dru amongst the wreckage.  Cadet Harrington was one of Sky’s friends from when he first joined the S.P.D. Academy.  However, sometime ago, Dru went missing in action and had not been seen from since.  He told the Rangers that he was chasing after an alien criminal when he crashed.  But Jack never trusted him, and that distrust was correct. 

Dru, being a Tangarian Alien known as Giganis, had a true form that he had never shown.  What he actually was doing was working for Broodwing to try and eliminate Commander Cruger.  He almost succeeded, but with Cruger being an alien himself, he was able to recover from the blast.  Sky took Dru’s betrayal of his trust extremely personal and went after Giganis.  He was able to weaken the monster somewhat, but Giganis then used a device to make himself grow giant size.  The Blue Ranger and the other Rangers formed the Delta Squad Megazord and battled Giganis.  After a while, the Rangers were able to greatly weaken Giganis with the Megazord’s blaster. 

Giganis then returned to his Dru state.  He was then taken into S.P.D. Custody.
