The Mega Drill was sold to Emperor Gruumm by Broodwing.  Gruumm then had Praxis go to Earth and attack New Tech City with the machine.  However, the S.P.D. Rangers were able to destroy the evil machine with the Delta Squad Megazord's Blaster.
