When the Rangers could not resolve their petty bickering, Commander Cruger sent them to planet Zentor to be whipped into shape by Sergeant Silverback.  

Silverback is the hardest, meanest, most fearsome teacher anyone has ever had.  Sergeant Silverback started re-training the B Squad Rangers in order for them to accept each other, and fight better as a team. Through his grueling training techniques, the Rangers were able to learn that only by working together as a team, that they are capable to defeating Gruumm’s forces.

After completion of their training, Sergeant Silverback also gave the Ranger's the S.W.A.T. Truck, for them to use against Gruumm's forces.

During the final battle against the invading Troobian forces, Sergeant Silverback came to earth, along with other S.P.D. Forces, to help fight off the army of Krybots.
