Megazord Display Stand

Linear Review
Well, things are looking up even more for Power Rangers collectors.  These Retrofire Megazords are yet another brick in the foundation of the Adult Power Ranger Fans acknowledgement from Bandai America.

The packaging is a return to the 15th Anniversary Red Ranger package.  But the front flap opens up to reveal the storyline of each season's Megazord.

Okay, so as you may be able to tell, these figures are not meant to look EXACTLY like the Megazords do/did in the show.  Instead Bandai has given them a modern, stylized look to them.  The High Octane Megazord doesn't have the eyes paints in their colors, Mighty Morphin has large horns, different chest design & large shoulders, and the Wild Force Megazord has a large crown head & slightly skinner look.  Each figure measures about 5 1/2 inches tall.

Each Megazord figure comes with their signature weapons, as well as a display stand.  You can pose the figures in some positions, but here is where some flaws come into play.  Each figure has different articulation.  High Octane only has one wrist that can move, only the left arm (from the shoulder down) can rotate, and right arm can only move (below the shoulder) left & right.  The other Megazords suffer from different types of limitations like these.

If you want to place the figures on their stands, you'll want to be sure and then display them on a shelf just above eye level.  If not, the Megazords look like they're about to attack the floor, or are about to fall.

RATINGS
The ratings are based on the following scale:
1 Emblem is Bad
2 Emblems is Poor
3 Emblems is Okay
4 Emblems is Good
5 Emblems is Great

Kids

I think the kids will enjoy these, but not nearly as much as collectors.  The kids will like that they can have a action figure sized Megazord of the High Octane Megazord, but most child aged Power Ranger fans today weren't even born with Mighty Morphin started.

Collectors

Collectors should really enjoy these.  Granted the new stylized look may be a turn off to some, but for those that like the look, you'll love these even more in person.  Granted the limited poseability can be a bit of a problem.  But these are still nice additions to a collection.

Linear Ranger

I love these things and am very pleased with buying them.  I really love the stylized look to them.  It really is like Bandai wanted to try and modernize the Megazords in what they would look like today.  Though, as I said, I will be displaying them on a shelf above eye level on their stands, so they look right.
