Linear Review
I really wasn't going to buy any "Battlized Figures" this year, unless they appeared in the show.  But after I went ahead and bought the Formula Eagle Transporter, I thought I'd give this one Eagle Guardian figure a try, and I'm pleased with it.

To start with, you get the basic Red Ranger figure with molded armor on his body.  The silver chest, arm & leg armor areas are nice, though could be a bit better with just a bit more contrasting paint.  The feet could really use some different color, as they just blend in too much with the normal red.  He has all the normal joint movements, except for the elbows, which are stuck in place.

The Guardian Armor is really simplistic in design.  It's of course designed after the Eagle, and done in a nice clear orange flame style plastic.  The armor can morph from Animal Mode, to Vehicle Mode, and finally to Armor Mode.  The Vehicle Mode is the least impressive of these.

When you combined the armor with the Red Ranger, the toy really does look impressive.  With both the molded on armor & the flame Guardian Armor, the Red Ranger really looks quite cool.

An added plus of the Guardian Figures is that they are part of the Auxiliary Trax system.  The Guardian Armor can morph together with either the Formula Transporters or the Racing Performance Cycles.  As you can see, it looks kinda cool added onto the Eagle Transporter.

I'll finish up by saying that this is the only Guardian Ranger figure I'll be purchasing.

Kids

Kids will really get a kick out of these kind of figures, since it give their favorite Rangers battle armor, as well as added play with the Transporters & Cycles.

Collectors

Collectors will probably want to pass of these figures.  The odds of any of the armors appearing in the show is slim.  So for collectors, if you're considering buying these, I'd suggest probably just going with the one Ranger you like best, or the one you think looks the best with the armor on.

Linear Ranger

When I first saw these figures, I really wasn't impressed, but now that I have this one, I must say that I'm pleased with my purchase.  Again, the simplicity of the Guardian Armor really helps this toy, since it isn't several different small pieces that you have to connect and hope they all stay on while posing.  Plus, the look of the Eagle Transporter when you add the flame armor is a nice added touch.
