Fire Heart Dragon Scale

In order to power the Defender Vest, Mr. Hartford needing something that carried and great deal of power.  He learned the Dragon Scales were said to have enough power, in just one scale, to light the world.  

Mr. Hartford then got in contact with Toby from Rock Porium in Briarwood, and bought this dragon scale.  The scale is from the dragon Fire Heart.  

As the scale was being transported to Mr. Hartford's, Moltor and his monster Valcon attacked and managed to steal the item for themselves.  Moltor's plan was to heat both Valcon and the scale, to where the scale would wrap around the monster and make him invincible.  However, the Rangers managed to get the scale back, with an assist of the Drive Scope.

The scale was then placed inside the core of the Defender Vest, thus powering it.
