Andrew Hartford was a billionaire adventure who unearthed the Corona Aurora.  After doing so, the Guardian of the Crown appeared to him and instructed him on what to do to protect it.

Six months later, Mr. Hartford recruited his team of Rangers to help protect the Crown.  With his knowledge and wealth, Andrew was able to create Power Ranger technology.  Mr. Hartford himself was ready to become the Red Ranger, but his own son Mack, proved many times over, that he deserved that role of Team Leader.  With Mack leading the team, Andrew took charge managing the technical side of the operations.

Andrew had always been weary about Mack being a Ranger and worried that he would get hurt in battle.  However, it was soon revealed as to why Mr. Hartford was so worried.  After Mack had a strange reaction, it was revealed that Mack wasn't a real human, but an Android that Mr. Hartford had created and brought online a little over two years ago.  

Since Andrew was always too busy with his work, he never had time for the social dating life, so in order to have a son, he created Mack and gave him made up memories of a childhood that never really existed.

With Mack learning the truth, he has now started distancing himself from his "Father".  Mack felt like since he wasn't a real human, that he wasn't Andrew's son, and he was also the one Ranger was to dispensable.

When Flurious attacked the Hartford mansion, he threatened to destroy Mack if the others did not give him the four other Jewels of the Crown.  Though Mack did not want them to, Andrew & the Rangers surrendered the Jewels.  Mack later asked Mr. Hartford why he did it, and Andrew told him it's because he loved Mack.  It was then that Mack realized that it didn't matter if he wasn't a real human, that Andrew loved him just like any father would love his son.

During the final battle with Flurious, the crown transformed Flurious into an even more powerful monster.  Luckily, the Red Ranger was able to use his Sentinel Ranger Mode to destroy Flurious' monster form, and free the crown.  Then, to destroy Flurious for good, Mack overloaded himself and the Sentinel Ranger armor.

Sadly, Mack had sacrificed himself in order to destroy Flurious.  But the Sentinel Knight appeared, with the Corona Aurora, and explained that though the Crown holds great destructive power, it can also give life.  By placing the crown on Mack's head, Mack was not only repaired, but he was turned into a real human being.

With all evil destroyed, and Mack being real human, both Mr. Hartford and Mack now journey all over the world in search of various treasures, relics and artifacts.
