“Power Morphicon 2016 Legacy Dino Megazord Figure Review”

August 24, 2016

Well I did not think I would be able to attain this year’s Power Morphicon Exclusive. However, after it’s reveal and seeing photos of it from the event, I decided to try and snag one. I ended up being lucky enough to get one for a really good price on eBay. So now it’s time to review it.

Power Morphicon 2016 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Dino Megazord Legacy Figure

Such beauty and awesomeness. I have to say up front, I am a sucker for Black and Gold repaints. It comes from passing up on the original 1993 Black & Gold Megazord, and never going back and getting it. This Dino Megazord figure is so good. It is nearly everything you could hope for in a 8” Legacy Megazord figure.

All the articulation in this figure is spot on. You can pose it in almost any pose you can imagine. I do wish it had a waist swivel, as this would allow for a better sword slashing like pose. Nevertheless, it still has so many joints that you can really bring the figure to life in multiple poses. I did try getting the Megazord to have a kicking pose, much like the Ninja Storm Megazord and the Ranger Legacy figures, however the weight in this figure’s legs seems to be a bit too heavy for that kind of pose. Now with the right figure stands, I’m sure you can achieve that pose.

While the figure didn’t come with any accessories itself, you can still have it hold the Megazord Power Sword from the SDCC Exclusive Red Ranger figure. Granted the gold & silver chrome would likely be flipped, but it still looks very cool with. The paint detailing is superb. Even the missing details do not really stand out that much to take away form the enjoyment of this figure. If the Black & Gold version of the Dino Megazord is this good, then I cannot wait for the remaining Mighty Morphin Legacy figures to be released, so that I can have the normal Dino Megazord Legacy figure.

This figure is outstanding. Bandai America continues to shine with these new Legacy Figures, and the exclusives only make the line all the more enjoyable. For those that got the figure at Power Morphicon, you all ready know just how good this figure is. For anyone that is considering trying to snag one on eBay, I would say if you can afford it, do it. Again, I got mine for much cheaper than what they are going for now. I think it is certainly worth adding to your Legacy Collection.

Final Rating:

Five out of Five
